What is an Upsell?

Suppose you are selling coffee, you may want to upsell a customer with a larger quantity.
What is a Cross-sell?
A cross-sell is an offer that, when accepted, will add an additional item to the cart and leave the original item untouched. This is ideal when you are offering related products and accessories. You can use as many cross-sell offers in a funnel as you'd like.
For example, say you are selling a coffee maker. You may want to cross-sell a customer on a bag of coffee to go with their purchase of a coffee machine:
